Millbarn Medical Centre serves the whole of Beaconsfield as well as its surrounding villages.
Our team includes four GPs, senior practice nurses, as well as our practice manager and reception staff. We offer a full general practice service and run specialist clinics for children and pregnant women, diabetes and asthma sufferers and for patients needing minor surgery. At Millbarn Medical Centre our aim is to provide lifelong, high quality, safe and effective healthcare to a whole population and to create a partnership between patient and health professional which ensures mutual respect, holistic care and continuous learning and training. We are a patient centred Practice and we aim to treat all our patients promptly, courteously and in complete confidence.
All our patients are allocated a named GP. This means that you have a doctor who has overall responsibility for the care and support that the practice provides to you. This does not prevent you from seeing any GP in the practice at any time should you chose to. Please contact the practice if you wish to know your named GP.
Our practice is a "training practice". This means hospital doctors wanting to enter general practice spend six to twelve months with us in order to gain the experience they need to become family doctors. Sometimes consultations need to be recorded on video for training purposes. We will ask specifically for your permission when this is due to happen.
This website is for both existing patients and those considering registering with us. It tells you about our services, how to access them and some general information about how our practice operates. If you live in our practice area and would like to register with us, please complete the registration forms that can be downloaded from the relevant page on this website or are available at the reception desk.

Patients with Particular Needs
Our surgery is accessible to patients using a wheelchair. One consulting room is upstairs: please tell the receptionist if you are likely to have any difficulty when making your appointment. We also have parking spaces outside our practice which are reserved for patients with an appointment. We have a disabled bay for use by patients displaying a disabled badge.
For patients with hearing problems, we have a special hearing loop. Please notify our reception staff should you wish to use this facility.
The car park is strictly for the use of our patients only when they are coming to the surgery for an appointment with the doctor, nurse or healthcare assistant. To enter, drive up slowly to the barrier and it will lift up automatically. All patients coming to the surgery will be advised of a code. On exiting, please drive up to the electronic key pad (by two yellow bollards). Input the code number given and press 'enter'. The barrier will lift automatically. There is no need to get out of your car.

Please make sure the practice has your up to date contact details, including a mobile phone number and e-mail address if you have one. This will make it easier for staff to contact you quickly and provide you with relevant health information if necessary.
