Our Clinics

Diabetes Reviews

Diabetes reviews are conducted with both our healthcare assistant and GPs. You will be invited initially to do your blood tests alongside blood pressure and foot checks with the healthcare assistant. You will review the results with your regular GP who will agree a personalised plan for your diabetes care.

Asthma Reviews

Asthma reviews should be conducted yearly and are available with our asthma trained practice nurse or GP. Please bring your inhalers and spacers to your appointment.

Family Planning / Contraception

Practice Nurse Joanne is trained specifically to provide family planning advice and arrange your repeat prescription via the GPs. Our GPs are also able to discuss your contraception queries. Dr Bach is also able to assess for and fit coils.

Antenatal Clinics

The community midwife holds a weekly clinic at Millbarn Medical Centre on Thursday afternoons.  The community midwife works closely with the practice and will care for you both in the hospital and at home. You can call your local community midwives’ office on (Aylesbury) 01296 316120 or (High Wycombe) 01494 425172. You can refer yourself to the midwife by registering your pregnancy here.

Cryosurgery & Joint Injections

The majority of our GPs offer some aspects of minor surgery for our patients including cryotherapy and joint injections where clinically appropriate.

Blood tests & ECGs

Healthcare Practitioner Nicola sees patients for their blood tests and ECGs. Blood tests can also be done at the local hospitals and can be booked online here.

Childhood immunisations

Our practice nurses offer regular appointments for childhood immunisations as per the national routine immunisation schedule.

Flu Vaccination

Flu vaccine clinic start in September/October each year at the surgery.

First Contact Physiotherapy

Jean is our Physiotherapist working through the ARC Primary Care Network. He runs a clinic on a Friday at the surgery and can see patients with acute musculoskeletal issues for a one-off assessment and tailored management plan.

Minor Illness

Practice Nurse Joanne and Paramedic Emma run this clinic for all patients over 2 years of age. Here you will be examined and treated for conditions such as coughs and colds, sore throats, rashes, earache, tummy ache, diarrhoea and vomiting, eye complaints, sprains and strains, urinary symptoms etc. Our Paramedic Emma will also provide home visits for urgent medical problems, alongside our GPs.

Stop Smoking

Practice Nurse Joanne offers advice and support to patients trying to give up smoking. Our district nurses can also be contacted via the practice. Further healthy lifestyle appointments, including stopping smoking, can be accessed via Be Healthy Bucks.

NHS Health Checks

The practice offers the NHS Health Check for patients aged 40-74. For more information, click here.

The practice provides a routine 6-8 week mother and child health check for a thorough physical examination. For more information on child health checks click here.

ENT Community Service

Millbarn Medical Centre delivers the FedBucks ENT Community Service. Here we see patients for microsuction, hearing assessments and flexible nasolaryngoscopy. We manage patients with conditions including impacted ear wax where there is a contraindication to syringing, otitis externa, tinnitus, recurrent nosebleeds and dizziness. We are proud to continue to deliver this service and have two dedicated ENT rooms, which are a substantial upgrade, at our new Beaconsfield Medical Centre site, enabling us to improve our service even further.
